Cape Coast Ghana Stake Center
This week, we began our zone conferences for the second quarter. We spent Tuesday with the Takoradi Zone and Wednesday with Mpintsin.
The Zone Leaders instruct on a doctrinal topic of their choice.
The balance of the conference focuses on Weekly Planning (not weakly planning).
The Assistants share insight on setting effective goals. (Elder Julander -- if you are reading, does the board look familiar?)
There was music.
We review the agenda items in the weekly planning session from Preach My Gospel and each companionship practices planning for their current investigators.
Elder Tohouri and Elder Mabibi put their planning to good use by teaching a discussion immediately following zone conference.
I got to do a couple of baptismal interviews.
On Friday, we had all of the missionaries who are in their first twelve week training period and their companions at the mission home for follow-up training.
We fed them rice and fish.
The New Missionaries and their Trainers.
Saturday and Sunday we participated in the Cape Coast Ghana Stake Conference. The big news is that the stake was divided and the Yamoransa Ghana Stake was created. The even bigger news was that the new stake includes five of my Mission Branches (Abakrampa, Asebu, Abura Dunkwa, Mankessim 1st and Mankessim 2nd).
The Saints came packed in Trotros.
There was a wonderful choir.
It is nice to meet friends at Conference.
